She graduated with her doctorate degree from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, USA. She has international experience working in the U.S., Kuwait, and in the UAE. She utilizes an integrative approach that focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and specializes in Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP) for the treatment of Anxiety Spectrum Disorders.
Dr. Mousa is passionate about her work and is deeply dedicated to creating lasting change in people’s lives. She identifies as a Wounded Healer, and because she has personally gone through her own journey of healing, it’s helped her approach her practice with more empathy, compassion, and non-judgment.
One of the most important things she’s learned is that you need a trusting relationship with your therapist; she provides a warm and safe environment where you can feel encouraged to open up and express what you’re thinking and feeling.
As co-founder/Mental Health Advocate of Wise Mind Center, Riham brings years of experience, wisdom, and compassion. Her expertise includes strategy, operations and project management. In addition, her personal journey of recovery and advocacy gives her a unique perspective on mental health and specifically, eating disorders.
