LGBTQ+ History Month began in 1994 and recognizes LGBTQ+ history, showcases role models, and aims to build communities.  This month highlights the history of LGBTQ+ rights and associated civil rights, but it also includes National Coming Out Day on October 11th – the same date as the first and second marches on Washington for LGBTQ+ rights.  This is a time to celebrate, honor, and connect!
