Heidi Andersen is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Supervisor, and Embodiment Specialist. During her career, she has worked as a therapist in residential, PHP, IOP and outpatient levels of care with people struggling with eating disorders. She currently maintains an outpatient private practice as a Body-Centered Psychotherapist specializing in treating the intersection of trauma, attachment wounds, and eating disorders through a somatic and social justice lens. She offers individual psychotherapy, supervision, groups, online classes, workshops, and retreats. Heidi is the author of the Reclaiming Beauty Journal and Wisdom Deck, a resource created to support women building a self-compassionate relationship with their body. She is also a creator of the online class “Reclaiming Your Body as a Resource.”

Heidi is unique as a CEDS supervisor as she has advanced training in the intersection of trauma, attachment and eating disorders. She has completed Levels 1 and 2 of the Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders training, Level 1 of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training and Level 1 of the Internal Family Systems training and weaves these modalities into the treatment of eating disorders. Heidi also believes in the importance of the social justice lens in approaching eating disorder treatment, and works to support her clients and supervisees in how to be a rebel against the culture that has created such vulnerability to food and body image challenges.
