iaedp member Sarahjoy Marsh, MA, a yoga therapist and educator, has written a new book: Hunger, Hope & Healing: A Yoga Approach to Reclaiming Your Relationship to Your Body and Food (Shambhala Publications, 2015).

In her new book, she reveals that yoga can help individuals break free from the cycle of disordered eating. Fusing yoga with psychology and neuroscience, Marsh presents practical and accessible tools—daily inquiries, action steps, yoga poses, meditations, and breathing exercises—that help shift the mindset from shame to self-compassion and reawaken the body’s innate intelligence to self-regulate. Recovery comes in the form of wholeness, joy, and a more balanced approach to eating.
