AAEDP Co-Chair: Sabrina Richardson LMFT, CEDS, is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Intrinsic Therapy LLC, a private practice she owns and operates. Sabrina graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College. Since passing the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Exam. Sabrina dedicates time and energy helping families, couples, individuals, and organizations recover from life’s difficulties. Sabrina has a specific focus in relational conflict, emotional disturbances, and disordered eating including compulsive overeating. As a therapist, Sabrina’s approach centers on thoughts (language of the mind) and emotions (language of the body) that determine our behaviors and impact the choices we make. Sabrina is Professional Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). Sabrina is certified as a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist with Project Best and pursuing certification as an IAEDP certified eating disorders specialist.

BIPOC Co-Chair: Cristina Rivera, MS, RD, CSSD, CDN, CEDS-S is a Registered Dietitian and an iaedp™ Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Approved Consultant.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. As a nutrition therapist, Cristina works with clients on how psychological, cultural and societal factors influence food choices and behaviors, while examining the role they play in health and disease.  She challenges traditional stereotypes of eating disorders and uses a framework that accounts for the ways in which lived experiences, cultural identity, and societal pressures intersect. Cristina has over 10 years of experience working in private practice and provides peer supervision and case consultation.

Cristina advocates for equity and inclusion in healthcare, nutrition and food access. Through
community outreach, service and education, Cristina aims to reduce barriers to treatment and
provide increased representation within the field of professionals.
