Paula Edwards-Gayfield LCMHCS (NC), LPC (OK), CEDS-S is a Regional Assistant Vice President with The Renfrew Center and a Co-Chair for Renfrew’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. Paula also has a private practice in Oklahoma and provides virtual services in North Carolina. Paula is responsible for clinical and administrative operations for four of Renfrew’s non-residential sites. Paula has treated patients from diverse backgrounds and has extensive experience in the treatment of eating disorders and co-occurring concerns. Paula is an advocate for the awareness of eating disorders affecting Black, Indigenous and People of Color, and has a special interest in women’s issues, relationship concerns, depression and anxiety, self-esteem and body image. Paula enjoys providing consultation and training and is a frequent presenter at conferences primarily discussing the intersection of eating disorders and diversity. She has also presented to schools, students, clinical and medical practices on eating disorders. Paula has contributed to various media opportunities highlighting the importance of culturally competent diagnosis and treatment of clients with eating disorders. Paula is a member of several professional organizations, and currently serves as a Co-Chair of the African American Eating Disorder Professionals Committee (AAEDP-BIPOC) of  iaedp™.
