Dr. Delia Aldridge is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Medical Director at AMITA Health, Alexian Brothers Behavioral Medicine Institute – Center for Eating Disorders in Hoffman Estates, IL, a northwest suburb of Chicago, and a leader in evidence based treatments for those who struggle with eating disorders.

Dr Aldridge’s passion for excellence in the treatment of eating disorders led her to join the IAEDP Certification Committee where she is actively involved in improving and simplifying the certification process for physicians and nurse practitioners, including International applications. Dr Aldridge is the Certification Chair for Heartland IAEDP and the only MD CEDS-S supervisor in Illinois – allowing her to provide CEDS certification supervision for professionals pursuing their certification.

As an expert in refeeding, she has established a premier refeeding service for pediatric and adult patients with complex psychiatric co-occurring conditions including self-injury, PTSD, mood disorders and substance use disorders.

Presently, Dr. Aldridge is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Rosalind Franklin University/ The Chicago Medical School, teaching medical students and residents about eating disorders. Dr. Aldridge co-authored an article in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health online journal called Psychotherapeutic Approaches to Non-Suicidal Self-Injury in Adolescents. Along with her staff, Dr. Aldridge recently published a chapter in the 2014 book, Non-Suicidal Self-Injury in Eating Disorders called “Eating Disorders and Non-Suicidal Self-Injury: From Primary Care to Inpatient Hospitalization.”
